...are kind of great in this. Elijah Wood was a fantastic child actor, really. Also, J.J. Abrams would seem to have a real knack for writing kids realistically - the most striking thing about "Super 8" was how well it portrayed its kid characters.
shareI miss this movie when it was out, and didn't watch it until now. I was so surprise to see Elijah Wood! He's so cute! I'm glad to see him being a respectable actor since "Lord of the Ring". He should be famous long before! He has been acting well since he's a kid!
Classics are names that everyone heard, yet most have never seen!!
He's pretty famous now. Not as in household-word-paparazzi-following-around celebrity famous, but he's well-known because, as you say, he's been around for a while and has been in some high-profile movies. He works steadily and gets good reviews, but is brave enough to do oddball roles as well (the jerky Ryan in the TV show Wilfred, the serial killer Frank in Maniac, and psychopath Kevin in Sin City). He's great to watch on talk shows, too: funny, intelligent, and able to play along with whatever the host throws at him. Everyone who knows him says that he's a really nice guy. I hope he never becomes famous enough to lose any of that.
The first things I ever saw him in were Flipper and Deep Impact, when he was a teen, so it's a little strange for me to see him so young. Worse, he's a contemporary of my own fine self, so when he was that young, so was I!
