ok, so they have the land, but what will they do next? I mean, they have no money so what will they build a house with, and what will they buy animals with.

Sorry just thinking about the practicalities lol

great question...(also good idea for a sequel) but, I don't think Kidman and Cruise would agree to do it, although that would be interesting for sure!!

I'm thinking Joseph and Shannon are pretty resourceful, they'll come up with something...She might get some $$ from her pop and Joseph has a fast horse...he will probably trade labor to buy the materials to build a house...

another thing I wondered about...her mother didn't like Joseph and she loved ole pretty boy Stephen...wonder how that would work out, with them living so close??
They should make a sequel of Far and Away...there is plenty of material

Josephs been working on the railroad probably just saving money for something like this to come along.

Well that was probably an issue with 95% of anyone involved in the OK Land Rush......

that's why they are called "pioneers"... they make do with what their environment provides and build a life out of scratch.

I kinda felt bad for the people whose wagons crashed. Maybe they staked their land, and were able to go back and scrounge together what was left of their wrecked supplies?
