Were Those Real Rocks?
Out there on the moors, when Catherine and Heathcliff would sometimes hang out there were these fantastic, ethereal-looking rocks and the one lone tree standing alone. Was that landscape real? Where is the place? Thanks!

shareSo sorry to contradict a couple of posters but these rocks are not Malham I don't think. It often gets confused with Malham as they look very similar indeed. They even have similar trees! Me and my husband did a Wuthering Heights themed walk a few years ago, we got the locations from someone who lived in that area when they were filming, and I believe this particular limestone pavement was listed on our map as Hill Castles Scar. You can walk to it from Grassington, or there is a steeper climb from Conistone.
