I have read that when the film was first shown at the Edinburgh Festival, British critics made fun of/got upset about Juliette Binoche's accent, her being a French actress.
However, I find no trace of an accent in Ms Binoche's pronunciation of English.
Does anybody know whether her role in the 1992 Wuthering Heights was dubbed or re-recorded later? Thank you.

i had no idea about this, i just thought she managed to chnage her accent for this film since i didnt notice her french accent at all.

but yeah maybe it was bubbed years latter, i watched this film for the first time last year.

i think Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche were great together and boh gave an amazing performance especially Raplh
