Never heard of this movie til I saw it today on Cinemax... it's great

I was flippin around today, and found this movie. Cuaght it about 10 minutes in or so. Great movie. I didn't know the name, so I looked it up here, and was surprised to see it was directed by Bill Duke. He was great in Commando, Predator, and Payback. This movie is really damn under-rated. If I find it at this local movie store (where I can buy movies on VHS for $1-3, and on DVD for $5-10), I'm sure to pick it up.

i did the same thing today. watched blazing saddles on cinemax, then this came on next. id never heard of it but gave it a shot. i really enjoyed it and expected it to have at least a respectable 7.5 to 8 or so on imdb...the 6.6 really suprised me.

Yes, this movie deserves a higher rating. Well written, well scripted and the acting is top notch.
