Superb screenplay

This deservedly won the Oscar for best screenplay, one of the most original movies ever made, and definitely the most unusual love story ever. Having watched it again tonight its aged very well.

I agree. I already had the regular DVD but just got the Collector's Edition with all the extras, like an alternative ending that was filmed knowing it wouldn't be used in the final film.

Yes, I'm glad it won, too. Certiainly it's an original screenplay and a multi-layered one, too. Really happy it won over the screenplay for Unforgiven, which was considered the favourite in the race.
