A Setup For A Avengers Movie That Never Happened In The 90's?

Does anyone know whether this movie was originally going to setup the 70's TV Spiderman and Incredible Hulk for a future movie? I know that the Death of The Incredible Hulk TV movie came out around the same time as this movie.

There was talks to pair Spiderman and The Incredible Hulk in a movie, but sadly Bill Bixby died before any such movie was made. Just wondering whether they were planning to use this incarnation to fit in some sort of Avengers movie that sadly never got made?

I seriously doubt it. I'm sure there were rights issues. Menaham Golan I believe had already lost the rights to Spider-Man by this time, and as far as I know he never had any intention of bringing back the actor from the short lived '70s show anyway.

I heard about a possible SPIDER-MAN/INCREDIBLE HULK crossover, but never with this CAPTAIN AMERICA.

Did Cannon or Golan actually buy the rights to Hulk ?.

It wasn't Cannon that wanted to make the Hulk/Spider-Man crossover. It would've been another TV movie with Bill Bixby.

No this was not. The attempted TV movie you are referring to was to happen in the mid 80's by CBS.

No-I never read anything to suggest that at the time.

The Hulk movies did crossovers (bad idea I thought-the tv Hulk universe didnt jive with Daredevil or Thor).

Cannon had come close to doing a Spider-man movie. I recall the plot had Spider-man fighting a villain who, like him, was the product of an experiment (this idea was used for the Green Goblin in the 2002 film).
