Candyman reboot

I can't think of a better horror movie on the planet to make a reboot of. Everybody likes Candyman, but very few LOVE it. It's decent, good for the genre, but a lot like me think it kind of drags in parts and is a little overly 90's at times. I mean the character Candyman is awesome and I remember being really scared of him watching this as a child, but even then I knew the movie itself couldve been better, and the sequels were much worse.

So a movie everybody pretty much thinks is just above average but has a classic character everybody agrees is horrifying. Why not remake this? I'm sure they can find another scary looking black dude, no CGI budget needed, seems like a no brainer.
