'baby Anthony'

about halfway into the movie, they're sitting on the couch in her apartment and on the tv is the news about "baby Anthony" and that "the blood may have been from the dog".
who is this news reporter chick ?
she sounds like a high school reporter stuttering "ssssuspect" and "I guess will have to wait this one out", this had me laughing hysterically at the extreme unprofessionalism.
was this an inside joke from the director/producers or just poor acting ?

This part bothered me too. I always put it down to terrible acting and poor dialogue. It's a shame, because this is a magnificent film.

yeah, its probably bed acting but it was comedic at least lol.

same here, i was very confused. it was so out of place and so obviously bad. they had to have done it on purpose

Yeah, this wasn't one of the strongest scenes in the film...
