Vanilla Ice!?!?

If you listen closely, right after the part where they shoot the other camera crew and they're in the pub with the old man talking about panties (or something) you can totally hear it in the background. That "Ice Ice Baby" song. How random!!!

Was anyone else totally "WTF??" after this? lol
A part of me couldn't take the movie that seriously anymore...

Well, it was a very popular song at the time, and the scene was filmed in a pub. I doubt it was intentional and even if it were, it wouldn't be any reason not to take the film serious. Also it might have just been the intro to Queen and David Bowie's 'Under Pressure'. You know Vanilla Ice sampled the bassline from that right?

If you listen closely enough, not only the bassline, but also the beat from Ice Ice Baby can be heard. Can't see why anyone should be put off by this either, it's a contemporary movie anyway, it's not like they were in the Middle Ages and then Vanilla Ice drops out of nowhere, yeah?

Why is that random ?

It's a song that comes on the radio while they're in the pub (the film was shot in the early nineties when that song was a big hit and was all over the radio).

Are there other songs that wouldn't be random ?
