i think it's mentioned that they found her body and she's still wearin the yellow leather jacket that buffy lent her which belonged to hilary swank's character (who's name escapes me!)

After watching the film recently, it does show that Cassandra had become a vampire.
(she is at the dance with the other vampire's, wearing the yellow jacket that Buffy had loaned her).

Yes, she is at the prom as a vampire, in the exact same outfit she was wearing when she was turned.
