Why does Candy Clark's name come up first on the credits?

Has anyone else noticed that? It lists her credit as the very first thing after the movie ends. After that has been displayed, the actual "Credits" come up and list the rest of the cast. I wondered if it was because her part was smaller but as the rest of the credits rolled, Buffy's dad was listed under the rest of the credits with the rest of the cast.

haha no idea, it's so randomly placed! "also starring..." THEN the credits roll, just her name on it's own. I've always been curious about this too!

Smile like you mean it...

I think movies used to do it like this where for any characters that weren't listed with the main cast at the start of the film, but were considered somewhat important, they'd put them as "also starring" or "co-starring" at the end of the movie. But Clark still should have been part of the rolled credits. If not, I guess you could call it some kind of weird cameo credit!

I think it might have been a tribute to her prior fame (if you can call it that) playing Debbie in American Graffitti. Maybe the producer was a friend and did it as a favor?
