Liked this movie back then, love it still now

I can't truly put words to the feeling.

When I watched BUFFY THE VAMPIRE as it came out in the theaters in 1992, despite its deliberate campiness and good-fun, valley girl goofiness, something told me deep inside that this movie would be one of those 'youth' markers in my life. So everytime I watch this movie, it's to remind me of my youth and those more careful times when it was plain fun to enjoy the silly for the sake of it.

I've come across people on this thread in the past who seem to bear similar sentiments.

I liked it and preferred it, but TV show Buffyites have won the day through attrition. :)

I have a nostalgia thng for it too. Yes, the special effects and script are lacking. But it does have that whole 'grrrl power' thing.

Okay, I admit, I originally went b/c I had this huge crush on Luke Perry. But I came away from the movie loving seeing Buffy kick ass.

I was thrilled when the TV show came to life--FINALLY. This would have never existed without the movie first. So there!!
