Confused about something
I've seen this movie literally hundreds of times, and I just noticed something confusing for the first time when watching it last night:
1. We find out early on that should the vampires learn who the slayer is she'll become the prey rather than the hunter. *check*
2. Buffy and Pike meet Lothos face-to-face when he kills Merrick. *check*
3. Pike and Buffy argue on sidewalk, Benny discovers her name, cut to scene with Paul Reubens telling Lothos Buffy is the slayer... they then make their little plan to go to the dance and kill her.
If He (Lothos) already met her face-to-face, why is this revelation necessary? He already met her, knew who she was (except for her name), so what's the deal? Is this an editing slip-up or can Lothos only act once he knows her name?
Love the movie, can't believe that's the first time I've noticed that, would appreciate any input that can clarify.
Thanks!
