if redone with a white cast...

I still think this movie would be hysterical because of the incisive writing and wit. Dont get me wrong I absolutly love the movie and every role was perfectly casted but if it was a white cast, itd still be great because ppl seem to think its just a "black movie" but i say with a great white cast itd still be great

I could see George Clooney as Marcus, Matt Damon and Ed Norton taking on the ML and DAG roles, Catherine Zeta Jones would be a good Jacqueline as well as being a good foil for George Clooney. I can see Reese Witherspoon being a good Angela cuz she has her sassy yet sweet side. Sophia Loren would be great as Lady Eloise and the only person I could see being as crazy as Grace Jones for the role of Strange is maybe Bjork...idk

and b4 anybdy jumps down my throat I am a blk man who thinks this movie is amazing regardless the race of the cast

It wouldn't merely be a recast, would it? Wouldn't it be more of a remake?

Gary Hardwick, when he was given the script for Deliver Us from Eva (on the special features from that DVD) for a rewrite, said he found nothing that needed to be written. When asked about an African American cast, said, Oh, that would be different. So, he rewrote it for a black cast.

I haven't seen Boomerang yet, but I would be greatly surprised if the black cast were working to a script written for a white idiom.

There is a feeling that a remake is seldom as good as the original. I suppose it could be if rewritten by a skilled and insightful screenwriter.

well i want to say is that the movie to me has a universal appeal so if it was cast with other actors who were capable itd be cool, I can so imagine GC and CZJ doin it up

Why is it when something presominantly black does well, the very fact that it was black gets reasoned out. The princple is that Blacks have the same type of stories.

I really don't care what your race is, I think doing it with an "all white" cast is utterly ridiculous.
And I highly doubt you're black, btw
