Yes, I'm disappointed actually. Even though I knew it would be a happy ending for Marcus, I hadn't seen it in years and hoped I'd just remembered it wrong.

shareNo, that was the ending they originally filmed then they changed it.Actually, nothing was "changed" per se...the original ending IS in the film...when the 3 boys are on the roof top and they hug it out, them going into the building as smoke comes out WAS the ending...they decided to add to it and make Marcus choose one of the ladies...and because it was a bigger budget Hollywood flick, they went with the standard "ends up with the good girl" ending...
I know. That was the original ending. He ended up alone. They added the Halle Berry scene. They changed the ending.
