Did anybody happen to catch the hints throughout this movie of Eddie Murphy's rumored bisexuality. The scene when they're talking about chicks with d!cks, and the scene in the restaurant when he tells Strange' he's gay. Maybe I'm reachin, but ever since he got caught with that transvestite, I notice things in his movies.

shareI've seen the movies a few times, but more importantly watched it on my dvd last with the director commentary by Reginald Hudlin. The strange' dinner scene specifically went there because of Eddie's previous remarks about gay people in his standup shows Raw and Delirious where he cracked on gays. The director thought it would patch things up a little bit if he played on that in the movie, by claiming to her that he was one as well. Not sayiing that I agree, but that's what the director Reginald Hudlin said.
shareI think everyone's reading way too much into this scene. The only reason Marcus tells Strangee' that he's gay is because he doesn't want to have sex with her and he thinks this is the only way of getting out of it because Strangee' doesn't seem to be taking no for an answer. I don't care what the director says on the DVD extras. IMO, that's all there is to that scene.
