...would Catherine ever give Nick the time of day. She could get someone younger, better looking, and with more money. Why would she mess with him?

Actually the star in this movie was Michael Douglas not Sharon stone, he should be grateful to Douglas for putting her on the map...

I am not sure what you mean. Michael Douglas was pretty good looking back in the day and had that strong masculine quality lots of women like.

She used men as playthings. She also was a millionaire. She didn't need a man's money. She also had no intention of marrying this guy. He was the flavor of the month.

Yes. You are correct. Catherine wouldn't.

I genuinely do believe that Catherine never truly loved Nick. She just used him.

I think that Catherine had every intention of offing Nick at the end but for some unknown reason she didn't.

Perhaps he was just that good in bed.

The reason was not so unknown. She was already at picking up her tool, when he agreed to her version of a future, skipping what she didn't like.
