How was Katherine able to plan this, in the end? SPOILER

Did Katherine want Beth to be killed so the police would find the evidence in her apartment. Did Katherine plant it there to frame her? If so, how did Katherina know that Nick would kill Beth and that Beth would be there? What if she were left alive, and therefore, her apartment would never be searched by the police? What then?

But what if Beth hadn't died? She would have went home, since it was already after hours, and she would have seen that evidence was planted there, and she would have gotten rid of it.

So the only way this could have worked, was that if Katherine knew she wasn't going to go home that night. So how did she know she would not go home?

Yeah.

Remember, Nick has shot 5 people in the last 4 years. If you know a trigger happy person has just seen their best friend die, and you have manipulated someone else to show up moments later, it seems a good bet that shots will be fired.

She was a genius. She had a degree in screwing with people. Beth was the scapegoat/sacrificial lamb.

There was no way Catherine was ever going to not get away with murdering multiple innocent victims.

She had planned it out to the last detail. Hell she had probably been planning it for years.

Catherine wasn't a very well lady. She was evil and deranged. She probably got off on causing others harm and suffering.

The evidence found in Beth's apartment was all planted by Catherine to frame her, that is correct.

Catherine made it so that Beth would be there. She had a devious, diabolical mind.

It was all written in her book.
