First off lemme confess that am a die hard fan of Jeanne Tripplehorn. Having said that I would love to get your take on this. We all know who eventually became the Hollywood superstar after this movie, but my question is who was the actual hottie in Basic Instinct. Jeanne or Sharon? Be as objective about it as you can. For me it'll always be Jeanne. She's the MILF of them two even now, isn't she? Remember, 'Big Love'?
Your question is somewhat silly. While I agree Tripplehorn looked amazing in the film, Sharon Stone's character was MEANT to be a promiscuous, intelligent bombshell from the very start - that was the essence of the character. And while her actual "hotness" is up to everyone's personal taste, in the context of the movie and it's content Catherine was the 'hottie'.

I think it would have been much more interesting if Sharon and Jeane had switched roles. Sharon has got more the bad girl look, and Jeane the innocent good girl look, which is why it would have better the other way around. If Jeanne had acted like a promiscuous femme fatale, then she definitely would have been more sexy, hands down.

I prefer Tripplehorn over Stone any time. And apecificly in this film - Sharon is alright, but Jeanne is definitely The Hottie. Its up to personal taste. Enough said.

Not that this particular movie should be regarded as a work of fine art, (though it's very well made). I guess
there'll always be a group of people who look at movies and reduce the flick to explosions and tits and will look at nudes in
paintings and say "whoa check out the rack on that one."

NikitaXC13 covered my opinions almost exactly.
In my opinion, Jeanne Tripplehorn's features, individually, are more attractive and sensual, but put together they're not as intriguing as Sharon Stone's, who comes across as more beautiful, overall, though her features, taken individually, are less striking and plainer.
1992 i watched this movie, when "Roxy" came down the stairs in the beginning of the movie... wow. Yeah, Sharon is kinda hot but Roxy was more "sexy".
sharewatched this movie a few times but it wasn't until last night watching it again on tv,that i really paid attention to Leilani Sarelle {Roxy} what a beautiful woman,she is by far prettier than both Stone and Tripplehorn IMO,although lets be honest all 3 are pretty hot.
