A horrible experience

I saw this movie about 12 years ago in a double bill showing with Henry: Portrait of a serial killer - Hows that for 'enjoyable' entertainment? Anyway, Bad lieutenant was just too over the mark in depression for me, from the rape of the Nun to Keitel roaring with despair at an imaginery Jesus, the film seemed to go knowhere. Then i cringed when he jerked off to those two teenage girls he pulled over...Way over the score. But i think that was the whole point and Keitel was perfect in portraying a man slowly going down the toilet.

But don't watch this film if your feeling low on a Sunday raining afternoon.

Bad Lt. was but not Henry? Huh? Just think about the last scens of the two movies and compare them. Both are great.

Henry WAS disturbing. In fact when we see the victims bodies and the soundtrack is their cries and screams i thought that i'd never seen anything like it before.

I think disturbing films are a very important part of cinema cos not everyday is just fun and games for everyone, or is it?
