Rapists

I watched this on IFC recently, I'm at a complete lost as to how he figured out who the rapist were. Maybe I missed something..I had assumed that he basically created his own rapist. I couldn't get a clear view of the rapist during the rape scene, even though when paused for the 4th time. I thought certain facial parts/hair might had looked like the one guy at the end, but I never got a clear shot or either ones face.

So until I came onto these boards I was thinking he might had made up his own rapists for his own sanity. I guess thinking along those lines are wrong.

The black woman he met in the church after he saw Jesus told him. She was bringing back the Chalice that they had stole when they raped the nu, and told him who stole it.

the scene in the church where the lieutenant wakes up and has a vision of Christ. He kisses his feet the vision turns out to be a woman who was returning a stolen chalice that she retrieved from (... don't recall the details)... she tells the lieutenant who stole it and we know from earlier that the rapists were handling this chalice...

The black woman and her husband owned a pawn shop or second hand store where the rapists pawned or sold the chalice; she knew it was from the church and told him who had pawned it.
