This is more disturbing than 'disturbing' and 'shock' films.

This is probably some of the best acting I've ever seen from Harvey and the most disturbing/depressing film I've ever seen. The scenes hardest to watch were the 5-minute drug use scenes with that red head girl. Even Requiem For a Dream wasn't as disturbing as this. Even the 9 minute rape in Irreversible wasn't as shocking as this. You see the lieutenant's face as he shoots up, and you feel that he's lonely in this world, he's the equivalent of a 5-year old who needs to be bathed and taken care for. You see the true sadness in his face and this makes ME shocked. You know that he could care less whether he's alive and all he ever wants in this world is a friend or someone to be there for him. These 2 scenes were disturbing on a WHOLE new emotional level.

Trust me, I've seen it all...Salo, CH, Serbian Film and NONE of those films come as close to disturbing me as this one did.

If Requiem didn't fully convince you to stay off drugs...watch one of the drug use sequences in this film, that'll steer you clear...guaranteed.

I remember sitting in the movie theater with my friend and watching Harvey standing naked with his arms out and just crying like a baby. While this is going on there are two hot chicks who are sort of dry humping each other half naked on the bed right in front of him. The music that is playing is "Forever my darling" by some Do Wop group from the early 60's. The music just jumped into my head playing as Harvey weeps after shooting up with the girls, who are so high they seem to have forgotten how to screw.

I to have seen just about everything. I also am a nudist. But that scene blew me away. I think it should be on a real of some of the very best ever made. It was also the only time that I thought NC-17 was proper.

I left that film with my friend Micheal and we both just said "Now that's a Bad LT. !".

Abel Ferrara's movies are just as bad as they are sometimes good. But this is one of those films you have to see.
