Just want to say how much I love King of New York and Bad Lieutenant

Abel Ferrara did an amazing job with these two films! They are so underrated. Chris Walken has never been cooler than he was in KONY. Harvey Keitel was incredible in BL as well. Gritty, raw, edgy and violent portraits of New York and some of its shady characters. Ferrara never compromises his vision. There are no happy endings, there is only death, guns, drugs, and sex. The dance sequence in KONY when Walken is dancing with his girlfriend is my favorite scene. Nobody makes movies like this. I know there isn't a whole lot of discussion about these two movies, other than about Keitel's penis perhaps, but I think they both films have been overlooked in the two decades since their release.
