How could the husband not want to touch his wife's belly to feel the baby move..or even want to see her pregnant stomach? The real life husband must have been a big dummy.

sharebut he gave her that whole speech thing when they were in the hospital about how much he wanted to be a father...I found it to be quite interesting how he never asked to see or touch her stomach too. I also found it crazy that he couldn't see that the baby was clearly more than a couple of days old. The husband in real life must have been pissed that he was depicted that way

he was a complete novice to pregnancy, to being sensitive and she made out the way she said it was real and ok...he was clueless and she tricked him. The way i see it was he was more at home in a fighter bomber than with a real person and didnt know the conventions or ways of life and relationships.
