Title is pretty straight-forward. I've always loved this film, the directing, the music, and it's one of my favorite European actor's best films: Gerard Depardieu. I've been trying to find it in places like Blockbuster and Hollywood Video to rent, but it's like this movie has been forgotten.

I've been waiting for a DVD release for awhile too. Some stupid technicalities are getting in the way of a DVD release.

I believe an HD DVD and BLU RAY release is in talks. Also, with Blade Runner final cut coming, that might help speed things along. I have a copy from the Netherlands and although it's a DVD, the quality is middle of the road and this film could look amazing.

Is it true that alot of battle footage was cut out.Also does Scotts prefered version run at four hours like the rumours suggest.
