Help identifying music in particular scene!

Hey all.

I am interested in identifying the music that plays during a particular scene in the movie. I don't own the soundtrack of the movie (yet), but from what I have heard of it on youtube and amazon.com samples, this particular bit of music is not included.

The scene in question is when Columbus has returned to Spain. He is sitting in armour next to the King and Queen in a church or audience chamber as they are being announced in latin. The royals rise and walk and Columbus walks besides Isabella as a fanfare plays with what sounds like a choir singing latin.

Any help in identifying this particular piece of music would be appreciated.

Been looking for that exact same track, im sure its Vangelises composition for the film but its not on the OST. Therefore its pretty much impossible to find unless you happen to find some bootleg score by googling around.

Harry: Well yeah, there was like an 8% chance.
Perry: Eight? Who taught you math!

The soundtrack CD is weird. Half the music on it isn't in the movie, and half the music in the movie isn't on the soundtrack.

For instance, these pieces aren't on the soundtrack CD:

1. Columbus giving Utapan the drawing of himself (same music when the slaughtered 39 men have been discovered).
2. The music when the Indian girl is serving Moxica and his friend the wine.
3. The hurricane music (also when Columbus goes *beep* on the monks).
4. The return celebration mentioned by the OP.

There are probably some others too...

What you need to do is to find the Esper Edition of the OST. Very rare find it is - yes, but it's the only way to get most of the music background from the movie in pure form, not intended for the original OST release.

The track I want is from the scene where Columbus asks Moxica for his horse and the bell is raised up to the top of the tower. Amazing piece of music

I don't know if you're still checking this, dude, but I've managed to find the score on youtube. Just search for Vangelis - Queen Isabel and it'll turn up. But seems like its largely stuff people have put together by filtering our the dialogue and so on.
