How did he know he was on an island. Weren't he supposed to check it out first to see if it was an island or mainland? shareI'll admit I've done little sea travel, and no exploring of uncharted lands, but logically, unless you sail all the way around an island, how would you know it's not a peninsula? Unless you climb the tallest peak or tree, all your observations would be from sea level.
