The Wall

So the wall was simply... a wall. None of that crystal *beep*

Who built it?

And rather than making up any other threads:

How did the kids get power?
Who built the intricate buildings (such as the tower) in the kids world?

I had a thought.

This dreamworld is simply a parallel reality. (Maybe he accidently tapped into it by way of brain damage. Not much is known about the brain after all) In this parallel reality, X amount of time ago, something terrible happened. Whatever it was, caused certain people to divide the world (or maybe just the city the dreamworld seems to be centered around) in half. A wall was built. Certain procedures were put in place to keep both separate, and keep each side from knowing much about whats on the other side. (Perhaps drugs to hinder memory? Much like that of a goldfish losing its memory every 5 seconds. If so, the kids not knowing about aging could make sense)A certain microchip or brainwashing type thing caused kids at the age of 15 to suddenly 'need' to leave, and their bodies simply brought them to the other side.


I'm tired, phew. Had to get that off me chest.
