After all these years, whites are finally acknowledging Martin!

I remember when a lot of white people didn't understand the comedy of Martin. Especially back when it was on the air! Some of my white friends when occasionally giggle, and constantly ask me questions about the jokes. But thanks to TIME and things like the Urban dictionary, many more are FINALLY liking it....a tad too late, though. But I am sure they will comment below, like they have ALWAYS been down. That's what they always do. LMAO!

Martin came on right after the Simpsons. Plenty of white people watched it.

LOL! My white mom & dad watched this show every week. You don't have to be black to understand the jokes. Funny is funny.

I'm white and I watched Martin during its original run (when I was in high school) and I still love the show to this day. It's still funnier than a lot of the crap that's on TV now.

I think a lot of white people understood "Martin" but like shows like "Friends" for example, they were catered to a specific audience and I honestly don't know a lot of blacks who were crazy about that show.

I went to a predominately white, all male boarding school during the years "Martin" was on the air and most of the guys (more whites than blacks, of course) in our dorm would gather in the TV room and watch the show on Thursday nights and they got most of the jokes pretty fine - except for that one time some of the black guys had to explain that "Wilson couldn't Pickett" line.
