He was not a bright character by any means, but he was WAY more intelligent than the only white guy in the show.

youre wrong. remember the halloween prank episode? he set up all that special effect tech in martins pad, and scared the f out of him. n i just watched the thanksgiving episode. cole puts draws in the cake, martin thinks egg shells makes for good crust, tom nearly spikes the turkey on the ground. theyre not portrayed as bright people. youre just looking for something to be offended by.

He's supposed to be a stoner. That's why he talks the way he does. Yes he is stupid but he is in good company with the rest of the crew.

"Stupid"? You could say "Naive", or (Hood version) "Not Up on Thangs",..but HE's not stupid. "Naive" and "Not Up on Thangs" is how his boss Stan manipulated him but "Stan" also manipulated Martin even more times.

Shaun's a radio engineer/programmer, hardly a "Stupid" profession.

COLE (Martin's Best Friend, BLACK DUDE) is Stupid.

Remember Shaun setup all those Halloween Special Effects in Martin's apartment, he was the ONLY one to bet on the "White Dude" in that boxing Match and took everyone else's money.
