Nick Knight (1999) 2 DVDs.

For those who haven't noticed there are 2 DVD copies of "Nick Knight". The first by Anchor Bay is region 1 only while the other is an all region knock off. I own the latter and have noticed it claims it is 4 minutes less than the Anchor Bay copy. Has anyone watched both to see what is missing (other than maybe FBI warnings and english names on the chapter stops. 4 minutes isn't much but I would like to know what they are.

reply

i don't know for sure because i only have the anchor bay version, but 4 minutes seems about how long the credits are

i would doubt if there is any difference between the two, considering the movie was made-for-tv and the anchor bay version doesn't say anything about being an "unrated director's cut" or something

anchor bay loves to claim that kind of thing, if there was anything extra... it would most likely say on the front of the box

What is Nick Knight (1999)?

reply

It's the set-in-L.A., starring Rick Springfield as Nick, Michael Nader as LaCroix and John Kapelos was still Schanke TV Movie that was shown on in 1999.

reply

It was 1989, not 1999.

"You got lucky?"
"They put a tracer on me!"

reply

I had both of them but the no-name one wouldn't work. Be sure to get the one made by Anchor Bay.

Why are you wasting your time asking for info about an obviously inferior third-rate knock-off? Just watch the longer Anchor Bay release

I have that "inferior third rate knock off" and it plays fine, I just want to know what is on the Anchor Bay copy that is not on mine, that Anchor claims it's briefly longer. My guts tell me its not since very few have replied since I asked. I bought it the weekend after I bought the series at a now defunct thrift store. I managed to get the series all in 1 Memorial Day weekend, sets 1 and 2 for 20 bucks each at a Walmart in Ohio while visiting my Godsister and family and Set 3 at FYE for $22.50 the day I came home

"Very few have replied since I asked". Yeah, that's because anyone who is a fan of the Forever Knight franchise, or of Rick Springfield, and actually wants to own this film on DVD, don't bother wasting their time trying to hunt down some bootleg copy of it when they can get the official Anchor Bay release which has been easily available for nearly 10 years for less than $10.00

There is:

Well this sounded like something I might enjoy watching...until I got to the part about Rick Springfield. Darn it
