I scribbled a note a week or two ago, and I don't know where it came from:

"It's noon and you're hammered."
"My parents are Hungarian. Its after 5 in the motherland."

Pretty sure it was Forever Knight. Ring any Berks?

I refuse to be outwitted by a 2-dimensional character in a cheap romantic thriller!

A Google search of the lines you quoted turns up an episode of NCIS from 2012 titled "Devil's Trifecta."
No connection to Forever Knight that I can see.
