If there was a cure, what would it be?

What do you think it would be?

reply

I would guess finding out about what is in his blood that makes him a vampire, continuing to withdraw slowly the amount of blood he drinks and consume greater amounts of food and not using his powers, accepting like any other police officer that people die and that can't always be prevented. Lastly, I know Nick tried to do as Natalie told him to, but he seemed to want both to become cured but at the same time keep his powers. He needed to really do all she said and fully reject the use of his powers.

Did you see the episode where she cured him? It did not go well...

Great white sharks are attracted to death metal music.

Yes, I did. But just because that failed, doesn't mean the next thing would fail. The message of the show was that you keep trying to find the cure. That is what drew me to the show and what made it unique.

Im362, Dr Lambert discovered what made Nick a vampire.was the.Vampire Virus. Therefore antiviral meds would destroy the virus's ability to reproduce and infect. As long as Nick was med-compliant, his viral load would be low and he could.walk in the sun, date, father children and have the normal life he so craved.

Antivirals would work but the series didn't continue long enough for them to be developed. Then again, that would be the end of the show so there couldn't be a cure.

No, it would not necessarily be the end of the show if a cure was found. The show could have still had stories to tell about other vampires for whom another cure needed to be found, more about the vampires who didn't want to be cured or were uncertain about it. The series would have just found another vampire as the focus on the show and detail how he or she deals with the "illness", or the series might have instead focused on more than one vampire.

A cure was found - by Janette. It was true love.

Which means if Nick had just let LaCroix be with his sister he would've been free of him long ago.

It didn't work on Nick because he really wasn't in love with Nat IMHO.

I don't think there ever was a cure, what happened to Jeanette was done because of the new people who took over FK and they just had to find someway of getting rid of her.
