Brian Glover

I remember the late Brian Glover guest appearing in the episode "Gas" and I recalled how he appeared in "An American Werewolf in London" which featured an early appearance by a very young Rik Mayall. They both appear in the pub scene very early. Brian had a sizable part in the scene while Rik (who was yet to be a star at this point in his career) role really amounted to a bit part. He's sat right across from Brian while they're playing Chess. It made me wonder if they had struck up a friendly acquaintance parted company after the movie was finished filming and renewed their acquaintance years later which lead to Brian being cast in "Gas". I looked in the trivia section to do see if there was anything in regards to this but sadly none was available. It's just that's it's an interesting coincidence.
