The Book

I didn't realize until coming to this page that this movie was based on a book. Has anyone read it? I am curious as to how closely the movie follows the book and whether the book did very well. I am assuming it did pretty well since they made a movie of it, but it's always possible that the producer or director just liked the book.

I am currently reading the book and it's the same basic story, yes.
However, as is usually the case with books to movies, the book is better.
I am almost done...can't wait to see how different the ending is.

Oh, really? When you watched the movie, what part of "based on the novel by Glenn Savan" that appeared on screen did you not understand?! Stupid prick.

Oh, it's so good to have morons here, isn't it? Max doesn't ask Nora to move in with him at all. Max goes to New York and finds out Nora is seeing a Greek man named George Stefanos. When he sees Nora and George together, Max tells George that Max used to be Nora's manager, covering for Nora. He then tells George about a woman he is in love with named Mildred Rogers (Nora) that is now in New York. Later, Max invites Nora to dinner, and she's late. His buzzer finally rings and the bellman tells Max that Mildred Rogers has arrived.

I've explained why. NEVER at any time does Nora say she'll move in with Max. You're an idiot. The woman at the end who arrives of course is Nora, you prick. She says her name is Mildred Rogers, though, since that is the name of the woman Max says he's in love with.

you honestly need to take a chill pill. you really must have no life if someone who is trying to help another person and gets one little tidbit of information wrong offends you... find something else to do with your time and stop feeling so superior. either that, or you need to go to anger management classes.
