Trancers 2 on Bluray next?

I've heard Charles Band mention a couple times that Trancers 2 is getting a Bluray release next. I was wondering, were the Trancers sequels shot in 16X9 originally? I'm not sure why they would have been when at the time they were making them for direct-to-video to be viewed on square television screens. A lot of the framing in Trancers 2 is head on shots of actors, sometimes talking directly at camera, which is super clumsy filmmaking, even if 4X3 was their canvas. Just wondering if we're going to get more of the image in a bluray transfer or if it will just be closing into the image to do fake 16X9.

It's worth the money, I just got mine in the mail today.

The framing is really good, you obviously see things in shots that you don't see in the original 4:3 release, but you see things in THAT shot that isn't in the 16:9 shot...but, all in all, the Blu Ray is pretty fantastic.
