Sorority House Massacre 2.5???
Is it just me or is the script to this movie very simular to the script of Sorority House Massacre 2? It just has a different setting.

It's so hard to tell which came first since Orville's story shows scenes froma completely unrelated movie.
shareIIRC, SORORITY HOUSE MASSACRE came first. It was conceived as a stand-alone film and entitled NIGHTY NIGHTMARE. It was slapped with an X rating, probably one of the reasons it bypassed a theatrical release in the US. Someone at New Horizons obviously felt it would be easier to sell on VHS if it were re-titled SORORITY HOUSE MASSACRE (never mind that it had stock footage from SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE.) It probably sold well overseas, so this sequel/remake was born. More action this time, and a little less ass to get the R rating. I believe it was originaly titled TOWER OF TERROR, and I'm sure it's no accident that the retitling recalls both DIE HARD and HARD TO KILL.
shareYes, in a way its basically Sorority House Massacre 3. . .except not obviously lol.
shareThat's because (and I'm simplifying here) Julie Corman commissioned SHM 2 and it was produced without Roger's knowledge. When Roger saw the film he said "Ok, now I want you to make it again. This time for me." So "Hard to Die" is literally a remake of SHM 2.
btw, both films did play theaters in 1992 as "Nightie Nightmare" and "Tower of Terror". Both had NC-17 ratings.
