Especially when Louise shoots the rapist (admittedly, I don't support capital punishment or murder, but I 100% sympathise with why she did it).

Marvel could learn a lot about how to do feminism from this.

This is not "a great feminist film". It's a buddy/crime spree movie that happens to star two chicks instead of two dudes. However, it is full of chick revenge porn, which is exciting for less-intelligent women who mistake it for feminism.

Feminist? Both the women are dumb, and in less than 24 hours after she's being slapped and nearly raped, Thelma's eyeing up Brad Pitt's character, and just a little later, Louise is agreeing to give him a ride.

The message of the movie is basically "Don't trust a man unless they're hot".

Ye dat’s kinda the point, he was a grifter/con artist. Happens when men pickup women too. Better than having Mary sue characters that never put a foot wrong and have zero flaws. Also at that point they were on the run from the law so felt they had nothing to lose.

Thelma was nearly raped and then the next day they just pick up a total stranger? Louise is supposed to be the "mother" in the relationship. She sees Thelma as a naive child. Ridley Scott himself said so. Always thinking, planning, and being cautious, and then she leaves the money with Thelma just because...

I don't want Mary Sue characters, just writing that's not shit.

I guess you missed the part where they were on the run from the law and basically wanted for murder? They knew they were doomed anyway, so they wanted to have fun with the hitchhiker. Also he’s Brad freakin Pitt. Louise also wasn’t expecting the guy to be in the room.

Come on man, the story isn’t that hard to follow… the only thing that’s shit is your inability to follow logic
