Nuclear holocaust scene- one of cinemas greatest scenes ever?

This scene is incredible, well done, accurate and terrifying.

Still shocks.

yes, it is.
The sad thing about it is, that we are never ever going to see sth like that again.
Any kind of visual effects are done by computers which don't look real at all.

Well technically, Chris Nolan did use those exact kind of practical effects for the Dark Knight Trilogy: miniatures and scale models.
