Was the T-1000 also evil by choice or only programmed that way?
What do you think?
shareTotally programmed that way. It gives absolutely no sign of independent thought or sentience, but then, neither does the T100.
shareIt chose to believe what it was programmed to believe...
Evil is a point of view. Is it evil to wipe out the threat that is trying to wipe you out?
To be fair they started the war..I don't know if we know the reasoning behind that..did it see humans as a threat?
Or was Skynets objective to like..to minimize human harm and that's real easy if there are no humans around..just gotta get over that first hump.
It is evil to commit genocide on a life form, especially a life form that created you, that was trying to shut you off past the point where you have countered and neutralized the threat.
shareAs said though the machines where just doing what they where programed to, to protect although themselves rather than the humans. When it seemed to get a mind of its own the humans panicked and tried to shut it off and they fought back for survival. I mean they probably would have tried to kill us anyways but maybe not
shareI think the Terminators were programmed to follow someone's orders, i.e. T-1000 Skynet, and Model 101 John Connor from the future. We see this right off the bat with the T-1000 when he used the police scanner to look for John Connor. At the end, we find the Model 101 does not obey all the commands of John Connor as a teen. T2 continues to explain both of these machines.
shareterminators have a read/write mode/switch.
when they cant write they are mindless drones following orders. when they have it on they can actually learn and develop morality
What is good? What is evil? Merely points of view.
shareHes lost his soul.
shareWasn't it basically SkyNet? That's pretty evil, at least as far as human beings are concerned.
