Just watched Terminator 2 after probably six or seven years, and this time with the SkyNET 1080p HD Edition, my goodness--that ending is happy! A happy ending showing Sarah Connor as an old woman, visiting futuristic Washington DC with her family. Judgment Day never happened and Terminator 3 is rendered essentially non-existent.

Perhaps an ending Cameron should have stuck with as canon after seeing so many mixed reviews for the third film.

I like seeing alternate endings but I think I prefer the original ending of just Sarah hugging John while he's crying and then it cuts to the road where Sarah talks about how she's full of hope since if a machine, a Terminator, can learn the value of human life, maybe people can too. By the way when I first saw this at the age of 6 I cried really hard at the Terminator having to die.
