Charles Grodin!?

I saw this film years ago on channel 5 late at night when i was about 11 or 12. i was just telling my girlfriend about this awesome movie she has to see. I'd always thought Steve Martin was in the lead character in this film, imagine my surprise when i got onto the taking care of business page and it says that it was some guy named Charles Grodin i had quick look at the films he has done as there is no picture of him and i didnt recognise him. The strange thing is though, that i can remember this film so well. I remembered that it was Jim Belushi as the other main part, i can even remember dialouge. who the hell is Charles Grodin does he even look like steve martin or am i just insane? ive just had a thought is it the dad from beethoven? because an image of him has just popped into my head whilst i was thinking of the scene when he is in the dumpster. i think ill check on that now.

It was the dad from Beethoven.

As this is a completely useless thread now, I will give you an interesting fact. It took me ages to find this film, as when I watched it on channel 5 it was called Filo Fax. Does anyone know if this is an official alternate title, or did channel 5 just decide to call it that?

I prefer to think of him from Midnight Run
Agreed. If I'm not thinking of Grodin from TCOB it is Midnight Run. After that would come Beethoven. To me Grodin was the star of that. Not that dog gone dog.

I wish Grodin did some more work. But it was still nice seeing him on 60 Minutes 2.

Dalton and Craig! Accept NO substitutes!

I've always thought Charles Grodin is kind of interchangeable with Steve Martin funnily enough. I think Steve Martin would've been good in Midnight Run or Beethoven. Actually, they acted together in the film "The Lonely Guy" which is worth a watch.

I think they're both terrific funny actors.
