shareI just got it in a few hours ago so here is some info on em.
-All Films are Fullscreen
-No Subtitles
-Single Audio Track (Sounds great, not sure what the specific sound specs are)
-English Language Only
-No Scene Index on any of the DVD
-No Trailers for any of the movies
-Each DVD has the original Video Zone that was on the old VHS's
-Picture Looks Very Good
Glad to finally own these on dvd, even with that said I do have some complaints about the set.
First of the DVD case it comes in is horrible. When you open it there is a single dvd on the left, two on the right, and in the middle a 'page' with two dvds on it. Now that is not the problem, the problem is that the plastic page thing that holds two of the DVD's has an edge that is constantly slipping under one of the dvd's on the inside right and popping it out of place. Which is dangerous because it can easily scratch the disc that way. Also the dvd are pretty hard to get out of their slots.
The artwork for for the set, the disks and the menues is a cropped version of the subspecies 4 cover art without the bloody pentagram, and the color has been changed to blue. Looks pretty cool except for the bats which make it look really generic (I hate these 3d bats lol)

All the dvd menues are the same except vampire journals which has an old tome and a gothic statue for its dvd menue.
As mentioned above the sets have no trailers for the movies, which is such a basic feature on dvd's I really miss it.
The lack of scene selections is also something that I wish they had included, again another basic feature.
Also the original Subspecies IV dvd had trailers, cast bio's, and a few commentary tracks. These are MIA from the 'Epic Set' so don't go selling your Bloodstorm IV stand alone dvd's anytime soon.
I would definately suggest getting a new 5disc or some single disc dvd cases and move the DVD's into them and just stash the original box, that is my current plan. I want to get some of those new thin dvd cases and make my own dvd case art for them.
did you happen to have any trouble with your dvd box set as for a playback error? all the discs seem to be fine except disc 1 at around the 37m:50s - 37m:55s mark. this is on the first dvd subspecies. i emailed the co. to try and get some info. if it's the disc or what but haven't heard anything back. thanks!
shareSame problem. It is when they are inspecting Lillian arm...the picture's digital code gets all wonky for a split second and makes a really ugly noise.
Let us know what they tell ya because I would like to get it replaced as well.
Thanks.
Bloodstone also has the glitch...on my set anyway. When Michelle is going to the Vex club for the very first time it does the exact same thing.
I am going to send them an email also. You would think for as long as it took to get these movies on DVD they would have gotten it right. :(
Got a response back from Full Moon the same day....
"Sorry about that. Please send back the entire set with your Paypal info
enclosed (order #, date, address, email info) and a receipt for the cost
of shipping which we will reimburse. We'll send a new Box Set out as
soon as we get this."
