I think its true. I first read about the Valerius nudes in the Trek VI Cinefantastique issue at the time of release (Cinefantatique was a highly respected film journal magazine which didn't print bogus stuff). she had on the full Vulcan makeup but no clothes and positioned herself on the captains chair, around the bridge etc. And when nimoy found out he went ballistic and destroyed the negatives fearing it could seriously damage the film (IMO it could've helped the movies box office)
Really? Given that Nimoy takes nudes in real life, I would assume he kept them.
