Why are they deleting scenes?

I was watching Star Trek VI just a minute ago on Epix, for those who don't know EPIX is a HD Movie Channel only for Dish Network but not only that I also watch this film on Netflix and notice something out of place.

I noticed that some of the scenes mostly two that serve important to the plot were removed I wish someone could explain this to me because as a long time Star Trek fan I find this to be a very very very bad idea

If you mean like where they find the one "Klingon" assassin is not really a Klingon, that's been discussed before. The "edited" version appears to be the "official" one, so that's what you'll see most of the time. The version with the EXTRA scenes is special.

I see and to me that is really a disgrace since anyone who saw the film before knows what happen it just a insult so I'll get the dvd from early releases to fix that
Thank you for the help

I'm not sure if you want the Director's Cut or what, but you can probably find that information in the FAQ area for the movie.

I just want to have the film to where it had everything I remember from the time I watched, see I watch this movie since I was a kid I only watch it recently since I haven't seen it in a long time and I still love this movie but I feel removing scenes from this film really insult

I don't think it was ever shown IN THEATERS with those scenes included. So they were not "deleted" later. They were ADDED later, for certain situations. But on Epix etc, they show the theater version. Not that scenes were DELETED from, but WITHOUT the ADDED scenes that were not there to begin with.

They weren't removed. I don't know why the OP is carrying on like he is. The original version of the film in theaters did not have those scene. They were first included in the laserdic version released in 1992 and then later on DVD. I don't know if the VHS had the extra scenes or not.
