There surely must be a DVD soon...

I've watched this movie several times and I thought it was a fantastic account, one which I was suprised hadnt been more successful upon its first TV showing. Im also suprised it didnt get a theatrical release.
I'd be suprised if it never came out on DVD since most things have by now.
If it was to be released on DVD does anyone know who would do it? Maybe if I found out I could get in touch and see if anything is or is likely to be in the works in the near or distant future...

i agree.....i've been searching for the dvd for quite some time. hopefully it won't be too much longer, if ever.

I can't imagine why this film hasn't been put on DVD? Looks like
someone is trying to make another "Son of the Morning Star" in 2007,
but no guarantee.

i read your remarks on line i love the tv miniseries Son Of The morning star and have been waiting for the dvd. is it going to be released on dvd and when?
also i saw your comment that someone else is trying to make another movie like this Is that true i hope so!!

I recently boughta a very good DVD of 'Son of the Morning Star' from a seller on e-bay. It is an Asian import and the quality is excellent although not remastered. It cost me a lot of money via auction but was well worth it. the seller advertises these whenever he can get hold of them so keep an eye out.

oh well, i am very happy with mine. it came sealed and both the disc and the case were in immaculate condition with good artwork to disc and insert. it has a nice menu screen too. in fact, it is much better than the 'official' dvd of 'crazy horse and custer' from the tv series ... that is atrocious!

has anyone heard if this great movie will ever be released on dvd?
It's a shame this never got a theater release as many people probabally have never seen or heard of it

On the son of The morning star website it says dvd release through Target and then you can sign up and they will let you know (Target) when it becomes available. is this true ??

Anyone who knows if SonOf The Morning Star will be released on dvd soon through target department store?

Where is the official website? CBS Home Entertainment now own the rights to all Republic Pictures TV holdings, I guess we have to hope someone at CBS will release it.
