The night this premiered
Growing up I always hated this movie. Why? It premiered the same night at the Hallmark Hall of Fame classic "Sarah, Plain and Tall." We had just read the book as a 4th grade class and my teachers were hyping the movie, my sister was studying American history, and we only had one VCR in the house. Of course my older sister and father won out and they watched this movie while I had to wait a few weeks and watch Sarah at school.
