What's for supper?
It creeped me out how when Martin asks Laura what they are having for dinner she gives him a lengthy and detailed description about the meal. It was as if she was reading from a menu. I'm sure if she simply said "lamb with potatoes" it would have sent Martin into a rage. Laura knew exactly what was expected from her.
And the scene where she's digging up clams for dinner and he tells her they are going out, she says "I'll just dig up some fresh ones tomorrow". Seriously this woman knew her place.
