Why was Martin still so all over Laura?

Martin's acting like a horny teenager who just met Laura!

He's been married to her for nearly 4 years, never mind how long it was before they married.
He's acting like they just met LOL!

I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.
Didn't he discover America?
Penfold, shush.

reply

It was probably part of his control over her.

reply

Good point, that's probably it.

That, and he knows he's got a sex slave any time he wants....and since power turns him on...

Umm... no offense to you and in NO defense of Martin and what he did, some married couples do engage in sex every day, some maybe more than once a day.

reply

I can certainly understand being interested in it (I've had years-long relationships no marriage though).
But Martin seemed ravenous .

And I'm sorry, I know they were only married around 3 years....but it still seemed ridiculous.
Most of my friends are married, and they (men & women!) often complain of sex now being routine & dull.

I've been married for 4 years this December and my husband loves the fact that we're still completely passionate in the bedroom. Sure there are lulls here and there but if anything we have even better sex now that we know exactly what the other likes and are completely comfortable with each other. I pity your friends and whoever else made you think it's weird that someone can still lust after their spouse after such a short time.

reply

That's how it's supposed to be.

reply

It's definitely to do with power and control.

reply

That sick relationship had nothing to do with love and everything to do with control.

I knew a woman in the same situation. She said she felt like she was being raped every time she & her husband had sex. She said she'd rather be beaten because it was less humiliating.
